Hi Everyone,

I also am a fairly happy keymail user on a QT32. As you can see I used comcast for my email and it seems to work well with it. The only problem I have had is when I used the backup and restore functions of keysout with keymail. I don't remember precisely what happened, but it messed up the definition file for the keymail database. It took a lot of tinkering, but I believe I got all of my mail back. I will not use the backup for mail again. If I need to send the Apex away to the shop, I am going to just copy the files out of the keymail folder and hope the repair folks don't mess up the mail.

Hi, I have had no real problems with keymail on my Apex. I currently have nearly two thousand messages in keymail. However I have it set up to only delete off the surver if in the trash so if anything did go wrong I wouldn't loose any of my messages. I have a couple of times where I have recieved errors when trying to open an email folder but this has been because I had too much on the flash disk so after moving some files over to a SD card the
email worked again with no trouble.

I am a very happy keymail user.

Subject: [Braillenote] Doing e-mail with the Braille Note Apex

| Hello.
|
| I am a new member of the list, and am learning the ins and outs of my new
| Braille Note Apex BT32.
|
| I am trying to figure out the best way to do e-mail with the Apex when I
am
| coming and going, and hence away from my computer.
|
| The people who gave me my initial training on Tuesday said that the Key
Mail
| program that comes with the Apex does not work very well, and also has a | tendency to crash. I very much trust their judgment on this, but was | wondering what experiences others have had, and whether there seems to be
| any interest on the part of Humanware to fix these problems.
|
| In the meantime, my trainers suggest that I go with trying to access my
| personal g-mail account via the g-mail.com web site.
|
| I am going to try to get up and running with this, hopefully fairly soon, | but one question I have is whether there is any way I can import my | already-existing address book into the g-mail.com web site. Currently, I | access my g-mail via Outlook Express on a Windows XP machine, and via
| Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 laptop.
|
| Any thoughts on either aspect of this topic would be appreciated, and
thanks
| very much for the warm welcome.
