As you can see I used comcast for my email and it seems to work well with it. The only problem I have had is when I used the backup and restore functions of keysout with keymail. I don't remember precisely what happened, but it messed up the definition file for the keymail database. It took a lot of tinkering, but I believe I got all of my mail back. I will not use the backup for mail again. If I need to send the Apex away to the shop, I am going to just copy the files out of the keymail folder and hope the repair folks don't mess up the mail. I currently have nearly two thousand messages in keymail. However I have it set up to only delete off the surver if in the trash so if anything did go wrong I wouldn't loose any of my messages. I have a couple of times where I have recieved errors when trying to open an email folder but this has been because I had too much on the flash disk so after moving some files over to a SD card the email worked again with no trouble. I am a very happy keymail user. >From Shaz. I very much trust their judgment on this, but was | wondering what experiences others have had, and whether there seems to be | any interest on the part of Humanware to fix these problems. | | In the meantime, my trainers suggest that I go with trying to access my | personal g-mail account via the g-mail.com web site. | | I am going to try to get up and running with this, hopefully fairly soon, | but one question I have is whether there is any way I can import my | already-existing address book into the g-mail.com web site. Currently, I | access my g-mail via Outlook Express on a Windows XP machine, and via | Outlook 2010 on a Windows 7 laptop. | | Any thoughts on either aspect of this topic would be appreciated, and thanks | very much for the warm welcome. | | Dr. Tom Behler from Michigan | | | | ___ | Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. | If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a copy to the | list as well. | | To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to | [email protected] | To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit | http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote | ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
