A gentleman on HB who gave up his warranty and spent a bunch of time watching things with the covers off discovered that the afterburner always turns on at 7:30 and causes the roast to cool a bit at that instant. The 2 minute pre-heat pushes that to 9:30 which seems to help. Somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes the roaster will get hot enough it won't re-start so you can't push the per-heat to far. Behmor thing just allows you to easily see the timing of the profile and selections you've chosen. It makes it especially easy to figure out when the power drop in P2 is going to happen, so yes, BehmorThing helped me figure that out. Mostly since I run it in parallel it lets me see how the roast is doing in relation to the profile progress and keep a record so I can make minor changes on the next roast if I've missed on this one.
