Thanks for jumping in on this. >From a cold start, the LCD displays about 20 and then proceeds up to 95 as the boiler heats. Within a few minutes, it then continues heating and the E1 displays. One thing I did not do when I removed the old sensor and replaced it was to add much thermal grease. I just used what came out with the old one and placed it on the new one, then pushed the new one back it. Rob, the contacts all seem to be quite snug.
I am working today, and wee are headed out of town as of tomorrow AM. If I have time tonight to play with it, I will do so and report results. I took a photo of the original connections for comparison, and I will double check those connections. Ira, if I take the controller outside of the machine, which are the power wires? Do I just run jumpers from an extension cord directly into the controller??? Do all 4 wires have to be connected (+ the two for the sensor), as they are very short (I could run jumpers to the unit). Out of curiousity, which of the above parameters in the long list are the ones that refer to the heat that one wants? I am assuming it is the C2. Would it help to lower it for testing?
