Heh heh...ahh, the much touted Coriolis effect. I was so disappointed to learn that toilets don't actually drain the other direction down under. I had looked forward to seeing that my whole life!!!
We have had a "cold" snap here for the past week as well, a frigid +10 F. :) But for Seattle, that was pretty darn cold, especially with the dampness mixed in. But people here really don't know what a true winter looks like, i.e. friends in Minnesota who flood the backyard hockey rink in October and it finally melts again in April.
