you will want to add a guage to the pressure regulator on your mains
line if you add that

OK, sorry, I'm missing something.
I ordered the p-stat from Chris' Coffee. Are you saying I'll need a
new gauge also, i.e. that the stock one will no longer work?

Thanks Dennis, appreciate the reply. Stupid question--the pressure
stat controls pressure in the steam boiler, yes? Does it also
control idle pressure in the brew boiler? Recognizing that the OPV
or setting on the rotary pump controls brew pressure.
The black plastic seems to be what's leaking intermittently on
mine--I'm pointing to the leak in the photo with my easter egg
dipper, er, fancy grind stirrer and clump buster...
Will get the new one ordered--do you happen to remember your part
number? I'll look, perhaps there's only one.

Ben, thats the pressurestat . if the fitting that attaches the
pipe leaks, use teflon tape - if the part is leaking, replace.
myself and others upgrade to the Jaegerstat from chris coffee
service, but a stock $30 one works good.

Thanks Stevie!
I found the leak, and posted a picture in another message. I had the same
failure you described, and added some silicon hose over the water line where it
rubs.

Hi Ben - I had this same problem a while back, and found that the
plastic line from the back boiler had cracked where it was rubbing on
the top edge of the boiler. There was an indentation in the
insulation and the plastic was rubbing on the sharp edge.
Just a thought....
