Thank you Ben and Herman for your replies.....both were extremely helpful.

Well.....you had me at hello:-). I think I will simply take the "buy once
and cry once" approach and spend the necessary money on the Foam Knife
upgrade. As mentioned, I have done an exhaustive search and all leads to
the Foam Knife as being the best option. It is a bit spendy, but I rather
upgrade with the right equipment.

Especially since, David Schomer the espresso guru out of Seattle, has been
using this tip for years and swears by it. So much so that he pulled his
previous DVD's and videos because it recommended the older 4-hole tips.
BTW: some awesome videos if you dig through the internet. Some of the
material is a bit dated but still worth watching. David has some of the
best tips & tricks in my humble opinion.

To that end, do you recommend the Foam Knife 1 or the newer Vortex 3-hole
Steam tip? Also, I have the Brewtus IV, so do I need to upgrade the wand
too? Lastly, where;s the best place to purchase...EspressoParts.com?

Lastly, I must thank both of you again. The steam trick of turning on the
steam wand until the red light goes on and then turn off and letting the
steam boiler build up to 1.4 bars just until the light goes off really
works. I run the boiler, while the light is on, just short of 1.4 bars and
the steam boiler holds like a rock at 1.3 bars while I steam. The steam
boiler literally goes forever with this GREAT advice.....what a difference.
Wish I had read about this earlier.

Anyway, first call tomorrow is to order the Foam Knife.

I must echo what others have stated, Ben is terrific and all that help in
this forum to make our Brewtus's working better and better is invaluable.
The reason why I do more "lurking" and less typing with this forum is
because my knowledge is limited to the past two years and I am still
learning. But I do read every single post and continue to learn form all
those that take the time out to help others......THANK YOU1

All the best....Tony
