Ben..... I do not know the exact thread of the wand. It is the stock Brewtus IV wand with the single hole tip. I am assuming that I will have to buy the wand and Foam Knife tip together.
Also, I may have miss stated what I did in regard to the steaming when the boiler is on. As you first stated in your original post with the steam wand off and the boiler has the red light on to go back up to temp I let it run up to temp and turn the wand on at 1.4 bars just before the boiler let shuts off. I then can run the steam wand and it holds rock stead at 1.3 bars while steaming without ever burying the steam boiler. What a great trick. Herman....... I am in NY on the east coast. I am used to stuff coming from the west coast take 4-5 days shipping. I'll order tomorrow and hopeful to get by Friday. Lastly, watching many of Schomer's videos he recommends only stretching until the milk reaches 100 degrees and then he buries the tip against the side of the pitcher and rolls the milk in a clockwise motion until it reaches 150 degrees. As I mentioned earlier, some of his videos are a bit dated so maybe he practices have changed a bit. I can't wait to see how the Foam Knife tip upgrade works. I have been disappointed for a while now and wish i upgraded sooner. Anyway.....that's the latest and thanks a bunch for all the help today. -Tony On Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 8:26:49 AM UTC-5, Tegespresso wrote: > > As many of you already know, and has been discussed ad nauseam here, I am > struggling to get good "consistent" microfoam from my stock single hole > steam tip. > > I've had my Brewtus IV for roughly 2-years now (absolutely LOVE this > machine) and been practicing making good microfoam ever since.
