That's funny, I still consider myself a newbie vs the original b1 owners who defined this group when I first started!
I have not tried the three hole version so can't comment. I did purchase from espresso parts, and delivery was very fast and uneventful (but I'm near them in the Seattle area). I am almost certain you need the wand as well, but if you'll tell me what thread you have i can compare to mine. I do know that nothing I have fits the foam knife wand, male or female. On the trick with the boiler--I don't let the light go off before I start steaming like you said. I try to start when it's still on, because if it goes off, the boiler has to drop a fair bit of pressure before the element kicks on, then it has to hear and overcome the pressure loss. Try it, you might get even better performance. I have never had a boiler hold at 1.3, so you might be in better shape to start with. best, bmc Sent from my iPhone > On Nov 1, 2015, at 15:26, Tegespresso <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thank you Ben and Herman for your replies.....both were extremely helpful. > > Well.....you had me at hello:-).
