I’ve had a B2 for about 6 years now. After solving a simple problem when I bought the machine (the reason for which I was able to purchase the machine for $1K) I haven’t had a single hiccup. I realize that’s a poll of 1 but I’ve been impressed with the build quality and durability of the machine. Now knocking on wood.
I appreciate that you guys are always at the ready to help others. It’s a pain in the ass and time consuming to rely on retail when stuff crops up, so this group is a great resource for those needing pointers and input. Don’t let the bad vibes stir you. It’s not worth the energy. The only time you post to this forum is to bash the machines. If I post, or Ben for that matter, it's to try and help someone. You don't like expobar? Fine you don't need to tell everybody that has a problem that they own a piece of junk. You could try to help but you don't. If you have as much experience as you brag about you should be ashamed of yourself for bashing the machines instead of helping the people with them. Machines like: Bezzera, Pasquini, La Cimbali, vibiemme, Bravo, Nuova, LM, Quick Mill, Rancilio, Saeco, Gaggia, Isomac, the list goes on. . . . Thousands of machines, thousands of contented customers. Please DO enumerate YOUR experience level, Mr. McCafferty. And please try to discontinue the tiresome "harassment" and "get a life" foolishness. It is boring and only reflects poorly on you and 'herman'. Machines that are well cared for with soft water and a monthly cleaning do NOT need work every 2 years. REALITY CHECK: Having repaired dozens of Expobars, we find them to be more trouble-prone than others. (BTW, We have personally measured samples of expo heaters to be 8-10 ohms, with a calibrated Fluke 87-4) feel free to call us, 213 800 3286 10-5 M-F for advice, support or just to say hi! Resistance should be 13-17 ohms, not 8-10. And testing high limit for continuity is the same as open or closed, Dave. Go back under your bridge Dave--your ongoing harassment of this group is still not welcome, nor your false belief that other machines never need repair. bmc Sent from my iPhone On Mar 8, 2016, at 10:27, Dave B <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> > wrote: A good espresso machine, well cared for, should NOT NEED "bi-annual" fixes. And the machine is now at temp and seems to be working fine. So maybe... ordering the part... fixed the problem???
