wow, such defensive flames!!

since you all have only experience with ONE machine (maybe 2 or 3) MY
perspective is FAR different. Having worked on dozens of different makes.

Expos are built to the minimum standard. They use the identical boiler for
both purposes in the brewtus for example. Therefore the front -- brew--
boiler has two PLUGS in the bottom, which in this customer's case
started to leak. It cost 1.5 hours ($150) labor to correct the leak.
pulling the boiler, getting the plugs out, re-sealing them, and
re-connecting the boiler.
If they had another part number for the brew boiler, MADE without the
holes, that are not used, NO leaks would have happened there. Simple

*HELPFUL SUGGESTION:*

18 gauge power cords! that HEAT UP and cause an over *4 TO 5 volt drop*
from the wall to the heater(s).
I am seeing newer ones with 16 ga, which is still not really adequate. Why
are they saving a dollar to LIMIT the machine's performance?
14 or 12 gauge would be ideal. We routinely replace the 18 ga with 14 to
make the machine run better. The HEAT goes into the machine, not warming
the power cord.
 Makes sense.

*REPLACE YOUR SMALL POWER CORDS WITH 14 OR EVEN 12 GAUGE*

You guys all like your machines, there is no need for the defensiveness.
but, hey this is the internet, *ad hominem attacks are expected if one
deviates from the orthodoxy*

It is an OK unit, there are other choices. Maybe there is a reason Chris
Coffee, 1st line, SCG and others dol NOT carry Expo. We are happy to fix
'em and even improve them!

*Now, Mr McCafferty, back to ohm's law, sir.*
