BG, The usual rule of thumb is that the shots will be bitter if the temperature is too high. Maybe try lowering it a few degrees.
On my B II I also find that if I have not backflushed recently the shots get bitter. I suspect that you have already tried backflushing. Finally, I noted that a recent batch of beans were very bitter. I dumped them. What beans do you use? Are they from anatisinal roaster?
