Beeg, I agree this should be a separate thread. Even better, do a search. I am sure this has been discussed many times, Your first step should be to lower the temp. That varies with the beans. Too hot always makes the shot bitter.
On my B II, I am currently using "Italian" dosage. Less grinds than "American". 14g of grinds, 40 g output in cup, about 23 seconds starting with first drops. I use a cheap scale from Amazon with .01 g accuracy for weighing grinds & output. I stop the output around 38g.
