You're in Lombok! I bet most folks here don't realize what a completely 
different world you live in. Good to know there's a brewtus there. I'd love 
to hear what you are using for coffee. Some pretty exotic stuff available 
in indonesia - if you know who to ask.

I'm shocked that you were able to operate the machine for 14 years without 
opening it up. My machine is of a similar vintage and pretty much all the 
plastic in my machine has turned to dust and been replaced, probably 
several times over. The zip ties, the plastic film, the pstats, the pump 
housing, the overtemp switches, all the plastic turned into grey dust. I 
would check your plastic parts and order replacements now if I were you:
- overtemp switch
- pstat
