in
the popular vote. Absent Florida, where the results aren't final, he leads
the electoral college. So Bush can certainly concede if he doesn't want to
wait for the rest of the votes to be counted. (As the GOP reminded us
endlessly Thursday, while the AP results showed Bush's lead in Florida
steadily narrowing, the AP figures are just projections and not to be
trusted. Of course, the Bush campaign is suddenly showing a lot more
confidence in the AP figures this morning.) >>
George Bush is acting like he won with 70% of the vote and Al Gore is
breaking the law by refusing to concede and illegally and immoraly stretching
things out so as to deprive Bush of his monumental victory. I guess Bush has
gotten away with so many other lies this year that he either figures what's
one more or he genuinely has no idea when he's lying. Either way, at the
moment, it isn't Gore holding up Bush's coronation, it's the state of
Florida. Bush should SHUT THE F*** UP and wait for things to play themselves
out.
