Yeah....news flash for Bush & his campaign:  the Democorats are going to
do whatever they do anyway.  The recount will go on anyway. The absentee
ballots will be counted anyway, and Florida will announce the official,
certified results on the 17th anyway.  Calling the democrats names and
demanding an early concession only makes him look desperate, greedy, and
weak.  Why add that to the problems caused by having lost the popular vote
and having won the electoral vote by pure accident?  If they had any sense
they would emphasize the need to ensure an accurate count, the need for
calm and patience.  That way, if the democrats start demanding a revote or
a court decision they'll have the dignity and credibility to challenge it
without seeming petty about the matter.  Demanding haste for the "good of
the nation" isn't presidential; it only carries an air of condescension
towards the American people, implying that they can't tolerate a little
delay for the sake of certainty.
