Because the Republicans seem to think they have some sort of divine right to
the Presidency. The Clinton years were merely an aberration.
Dubya is acting like a spoiled child. He hasn't won anything yet, he's likely
to go into office (assuming he does) having lost the popular vote, he's going
to need every bit of goodwill he can possibly get especially from the half of
the country that didn't vote for him in order to have the slightest hope of
actually governing - he should shut his fat face and wait till next Friday.
And tell all his minions to do the same. He calls himself a uniter? He's not
off to a very good start.
