According to the British news reports I have seen there is some doubt
whether the overseas votes will break in favour of Bush, since the Democrats
have (apparently) concentrated on mobilising their absentee voters. They had
no trouble finding Florida postal voters in Europe (including servicemen)
who had voted Gore.
But, as you say, either way the vote isn't over until the votes are counted.
There is certainly nothing irregular about the postal votes! (Although I am
surprised that the system allows overseas votes postmarked on election day -
in normal circumstances these presumably go straight into the trash!)
As for Bush this morning with the stinky hangover and the bandage on his
face - did he fall over or was he in a fight?
