Oh, wait, you said HABIT -- he only did it that once that I know of. ;)
[1] In September, I was in DC visiting my sister, and arranged to meet JDG
for lunch. He picked up the tab, not only graciously but using an
argument with some logic behind it, which was nice. (Plus he picked a
good place for lunch in the first place -- I'm not sure I'd go there for
supper, but I'd *definitely* go back for lunch again sometime!)
