OTOH, I've heard the suggestion that if a man is driving alone in the rain 
and sees a woman walking without an umbrella, he should first turn around 
and go home and get his wife before stopping to offer the woman a ride so 
as to avoid any appearance of impropriety of being seen in a car alone with 
a woman other than his wife.
