I work in a hospital in the US.
I know of nurses from the Phillipines, Chile, the Carribean, Africa, Mexico,
and Russia.
There are also several doctors from Russia and Mexico and the former Eastern
Bloc nations.
OTOH, I know of no medical professionals from Canada here. <G>
