This Tax Refund thing may work as a great test of principles. A lot of
Americans don't trust the Federal (or any other) government, hate it, even
call it evil. This leads to a burning (pun intended) question: how many of
those citizens will stand by their anti-government principles and return
their check to the government... :)

OK, you could argue that they're just getting back some of the money they
first paid to the government. But, why is the government doing this? If
they suddenly start giving you money, they MUST be on to something evil.
Maybe it's really some form of bribe, so the government can triple the fuel
taxes next month without getting much protest.
