I am incredibly disappointed to hear this, I would have hoped for better
from them.

As much as the people of the United States have suffered today - how badly
have the people of Afghansitan suffered for years upon years upon years.
The United States simply *CANNOT* be perceived as punishing the civilians
of Afghanistan, who are every bit victims of the Taliban as the United
States seems to be - assuming, as seems likely, that the link to bin Laden
is confirmed.
