NYC police department has said that over 200 firefighters are unaccounted for
and have most likely lost their lives. The same with at least 78 cops.
Judging by our city average, more firefighters lost their lives today than
have died in New York in the last fifteen or sixteen years. Our mayor said
that 10,000 civilian casualties is probably a conservative number. We are
using firefighters, police, health care professionals and emergency workers
from all over our state and from New Jersey.

Shea Stadium is now being used as a morgue.

IIRC, the battle of Antietam in America's Civil War saw 22,000 American
casualties in a single day. They were soldiers. Our dead were civilians and
family. In the end the horrible, awful fact is we've lost thousands of
innocent people (*civilians*) who were murdered by cowards simply because
they were Americans.
