Local news reports are saying that at least 600 citizens are injured, 150
are critical. At least 50, possibly 100 cops are missing. A firefighter
union official is quoted that whole fire companies are missing, possibly
200 firefighters or more. No one knows what the death count is, but at
least 4 cops are dead, and the senior police surgeon is in critical
condition with severe internal injuries.

World Trade Center collapsed.
Manhattan buildings south of 14th Street have been evacuated. Doctors and
nurses have been asked to come in to local hospitals to assist.
Heavy construction equipment is enroute to the scene to move debris, so the
death toll will mount.
Reports of explosions in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, are attributed
to the anti-Taliban resistance movement.
