I read the fine print when my bank tried to give me a debit
card, and I noticed that unlike a credit card, they wouldn't
let me cancel it if it got stolen. That made me too nervous
to use it, so I cut it up and kept using the ordinary,
non-debit ATM card it was intended to replace.
