..further, in the decades this conflict hs been going on, has this been
shown to have any impact on terrorist actions? (I honestly don't know, I
just can't think of any action taken in any terror areas that has
improved the situation, other than in Northern Ireland were diplomacy
and a recognition that, while their methods were deplorable, the
Republicans and esp. the Catholics had legitimate civil and political
rights complaints..)
