So, Israel does not take revenge for attacks? Then what do you call helicopter strikes against Palestinians they suspect of terrorism? What do you call blowing up a Palestinian police station after a suicide bombing? Did you ever wonder why people in Europe are so critical of the US and Israel? I will give you a hint: unquestioningly defending Israel and its actions go a looooooong way. The fiercest criticism of Israel I have heard from people like you is "well, I think building settlements in the Occupied Territories was a bad idea". Other than that, occupation, oppression, violence and even war crimes seem to be absolutely reasonable and acceptable. Oddly enough, when Iraq did something similar in Kuwait, the US launched a full-blown war against Iraq. I am not impressed by accusations of anti-Semitism. People like you do their best to make it look as if Israel is so holy it can not possibly do anything wrong. It seems to be customary to call anyone who dares criticise The Holy State of Israel an anti-Semite. Now, of course, our one Israeli listmember herself has (unintentionaaly) shown that I can not be anti-Semitic. She said that both Israeli's and Arabs are Semitic, so if I would be anti-Semitic I would show hatred of both Israeli's and Arabs. Yet, people here have written more than once that I "defend Arabs no matter what". >Jeroen, with the above comment, you have abandoned all pretext of >rationality on this subject. John, please come back when you can be serious about this, and not see Israel has a land so holy that everything it does must be defended without question. >JDG >__________________________________________________________ >John D.
