I saw nothing I haven't done in the past, so I was rather mystified by this,
also.

Is arguing with Jeroen now grounds for banishment?

I'm not sure, but calling Jeroen a 'Nazi' might have had something to do with it. Someone else called him a 'fucking nazi' a few weeks ago.  (Might have been Dan S. or Tom, although I'm not entirely sure.)

Look, I completely don't agree with Jeroen on pretty much any of his points about the Palestinians.  I personally feel that his attitudes are completely offensive, and am even MORE offended by his utter and blatant unwillingness to answer questions or acknowlege source material (that he ASKED for) when it is presented to him.  But calling him a 'Nazi' is beyond the pale.  You don't compare someone who's making assinine and inflammatory comments to a group that deliberately set out to commit genocide and collectively murdered 18 million innocents.  That's wrong.  You have a problem with his opinions, fine.  So does most of the rest of the list.  But don't attack him personally.  Hell, the guy has repeatedly said he's not an antisemite and yet he's constantly being attacked for that and for hating America.

He has a right to state his opinions.  He has a right not to like America and to say so on the list.  He has a right to question American policies.  He even has a right to question Israeli policies, and we have the right to call him out and argue every single time he asks a question that is blatantly designed to stir up a hornets nest on the list.  (Oh yeah, his post entitled "A Modest Proposal" pretty much fits that bill.)

You have every right to argue with him on and off the list.  But don't call him names on list.  (a) It's against the rules, and those rules clearly state that listowners have the right to boot you for doing so and (b) it's not a civilized way to debate anyone.

Don't like it?  Put him on your f***ing ignore lists and be done with it.
