"Many hands make work light." > There is one other thing worth mentioning. In the past, the person who gently "enforced" the etiquette rules (Jo Anne) was not a list owner. I think that is a good idea. The warnings she gave were warning about being about to accidently say things one would regret later and starting to irritate friends without knowing it, not warnings of being one step closer to banishment for unspecified crimes. The only power she really had was the power to help us see how we looked to others. FWIW, I don't fault Eileen much at all in this. I'm guessing that it started when Jeroen complained to the other listowners about being mistreated. One other listowner was his MUD buddy, who read a few posts, and trusted his judgement and did as he asked. The other was an active list participant who had a more personal feel for what is going on here, and didn't do as he asked. Personally, I don't think anyone should be put in the position Eileen was/is put in. Dan M.
