Me: Oh, that would be a jolly good idea. It should be mandatory for all senior pollies. Trouble is, though when you get a Stalin type who's indifferent to anything but the end, regardless of cost. And then there's that other politician of about the same timeframe, can't mention his name ... And then there's the Captain Kirk type of politician who wants to go and change the question... I like the Pakistani article, it really seems pretty balanced and objective to me. It's a good sign that that sort of analysis can still be published in Pakistan. I'd like to say there is only one way to solve the Indo-Pakistan crisis: Let Kashmir develop its own cricket team, allow them 10 years of international competition and then have all three nations fight it out in a series of Test matches.
