I'd like to start. Dan's had a couple of really intense weeks at work
(needing to put in 60 hours between Tuesday morning and Friday evening,
it seems, and having to get it all done within those time limits), and
given my experience trying to read _The Blind Assassin_ while feeding
Sammy (trade paperback copy), I don't want to try tackling a hardcover
during feeding times.

Maybe next weekend I'll be able to put in a few good hours reading.
This weekend, we have my recently laid-off brother-in-law (no, he wasn't
working for Enron, he was working for a company that does consulting for
telecommunications, and he's in the Dallas area, not Houston) coming for
a visit, plus the Super Bowl is on Sunday, and I'm wanting to
participate in this one last blowout of the NFL season.

Heck, maybe I'll be able to do some reading some weekday evenings next
week if work lets up on Dan enough for him to give me some 30-minute
breaks to do nothing but read. (That would be heavenly right about
now....)

        Julia
