<< The Norwegians are suddenly so terribly concerned about Palestinian civilians, yet we didn't hear a peep out of them when hundreds of Israelis were blown to bits while attending religious functions or commuting to work by Palestinian terrorists. Where was the great interest in justice and protection of civilians and ambulances when Israeli children and innocents were being murdered by fanatics?
I take back the ambiguity of my previous post on the subject. There is a very clear double standard being perpetrated here, and I must say I'm in complete agreement with Marvin and Tom. If the situation were reversed, this certainly wouldn't be done to Arab Muslims. >> I liked your argument that no one is barring Americans or American flags. I don't see all of this exactly as anti-semitism, more plain old ordinary hypocrisy. They see one side but not the other. What Sharon and the IDF are doing at the moment is wrong, no argument. But what the Palestinian terrorists is doing is also equally wrong. And what's happening in India right now is wrong, and I'm sure there are plenty of other places where awful things are happening. Kuwait expelled 300,000 Palestinians in 1991 and nobody said a word. Lebanon has had Palestinians living in squalid camps since 1948 and still will not permit them to become Lebanese citizens and the Saudis won't spend a dime of their oil money to turn those camps into decent towns. It's just hypocrisy, perhaps tinged with a bit of anti-semitism. It certainly is not genuine regard for Palestinians or Muslims. Tom Beck "I always knew I'd see the first man on the Moon.
