Your sarcasm is not appreciated, and I suspect it is an attempt to 
trivialize the point I am making.

To rephrase and clarify:

3000 innocent civilian's lives were ended by terrorist extremists on 
September 11th.  These extremists were Muslim.  The vast majority of people 
murdered were American citizens, who had committed no crime greater than 
being Americans.  Men, Women and probably Children of other nationalities 
were also murdered.  The terrorists targeted civilians and not a military 
target.
