Thanks for all the replies, especially Fastalanasa. I must admit now that I was a little drunk last night. After the meet (not date in my mind) ended early I went and saw Quiet Riot at a local watering hole, met some friends, drank some beers, then came back here to write the e-mail with my ears ringing. Two women I know were with them, one is living with a guy 18 years younger, the other 13 years younger. And they complain about not meeting guys their own age?
The band wasn't bad but they don't have enough songs to support 90 minutes on stage. I agree with what everyone has written. I've said this before: I had a topsie-turvey life the last 6 years, I wasn't in a good place to be serious with anyone. Things are normal now so I can be serious. This was a chance meeting so I can't blame anyone for what happened. I've had my friends try and set me up in the past, without my knowledge, which super-sucked. Especially when after things crashed my freind will tell me all the bad things that he kept from me. 'Oh she lived with this guy for 6 years and they got married and he was fooling around with her best friend and drained her bank account and skipped town. She lost her job, had to sell her car, move out of their apartment and has been sleeping on Jane and Ted's couch. But she's nice.' True story. That stuff isn't a reason to not like someone, it was just quite a bit to hear at once. Kevin T. Thunder and lightning!
