The flavonoids and polyphenols aren't tied up with the caffeine, are
they?  I've been drinking decaffeinated green tea in the mornings for
some time now.  (Mostly I want a hot beverage, and herbal tea is now
somehow too decadent for morning consumption, according to my
palate....)

My guess is that you read the first 5 or 6 books and missed the rest.
