According to _The Economist_, France and others succeeding in putting the kabosh on that, getting a moratorium on reforms until 2005 or 2006 passed. We'll see how serious they are about reform. George W. Bush is currently having our trade representative argue for a world-wide liberalizing of trade in agricultural goods, and a joint removal of subsidies - so as to permit the poorest farmers of the world sell their agricultural goods to us competitively.
