Felix, I agree completely. I would love to see a more defined set of rules. My point is that I don't think it will be possible, especially in a sport run by volunteers. Rule changes just add further complications.
I think the problem that arises in games is when people get picky about the rules. Occasionally someone will read the rules and interpret something that isn't generally adhered to, which although it may be technically correct is liable to cause arguments. I'd just like to see this sort of thing reduced a bit when the issues are pretty minor, i.e. if you have to wait a few seconds more to start a stall count it's not going to effect the game drastically (maybe right at the end of an indoor game with no cap). I fully appreciate the arguments, but seriously, wouldn't it be nice!
