I think we all recognise your good intentions, but you'll get criticisms
whatever you do. Such is the life of the TD. Perhaps the most important aspect
is the tone in which the criticism is made.

My opinion is that the UKUA should expect TDs to make a schedule that allows
first of all for BETTER and SAFER Ultimate. This obviously means games evenly
spaced throughout the day where every team has the chance to eat and recover
between games.

If I recall correctly, some of the top teams have complained in the past that
the breaks in Tour A were too short.

It's exhausting enough to play 3-4 games in a day. Playing 2 games back to back
should be avoided as much as possible. When players are tired, injuries are
more likely and also the quality of the game deteriorates.

So a break to watch football is probably not a good idea, if this means no
breaks (or too short breaks) between games.

I don't think that a lunch break is good idea either. I can see that some
players like to have sausage and mash and a pint for lunch, play with a full
stomac, and eat nothing for the rest of the day. But I am sure that anyone who
takes the competition half seriously will probably want to eat small amounts of
food throughout the day. I think the TDs should encourage the latter behaviour,
not the former.

Blimey - you try and do something nice for people and all you get is criticism!

I'm guessing that the people complaining are the weird types that start
throwing a disc around as soon as you arrive and then after a full day's play
still throw around for hours. Strangely, for quite a lot of people there is
more to life than a plastic disc...

Jaimie asked me if it would be a problem scheduling in a break so that
everyone can watch the footie - I thought it was a good idea so said go for it.
We genuinely thought that people would be grateful of the break and the
opportunity to watch the game.

As for complaining about being given a lunch break!!! What's that about?!

Basically - do what you want. Play or watch the game, it makes no odds to me
or the schedule. At the very least we've given you the opportunity to chose
what you want to do. I'll be watching the game!
