Ok but, you aren't scoring on a moving slide between 1 and 16, you are scoring each aspect as 0 - not there, 1 - good, 2 - exceptional, 0-2 surely this is simple enough even for kids? if you want to dumb it down further think of it as Yes No or Maybe...
