Thankyou :-)

There is a Licensing issue between LibreDWG and CAD softwares such as
FreeCAD and LibreCAD. LibreDWG is using GPLv3/3+ where as LibreCAD v2
is strictly under GPLv2. LibreCAD v2's license can't be change since
it was a fork of QCAD. This time I am working on LibreCAD v3 and since
its a complete rewrite we will be having own license which would avoid
such issues in future and this way we will be able to integrate
LibreDWG into LibreCAD v3 if required.

Thankyou very much. That motivates me :-)

Exactly! Someone needs to reverse engineer the DWG just for reading it
and then it could be exported to some other format.

Personally I am happy with the STEP format very much.

Agreed on this :-)
