The file is compressed with 7-zip. You can run the Virtual Disk Image
(.vdi) inside Virtual Box. The .vdi includes Ubuntu 18.04, BRL-CAD r70379,
and all the dependencies (including X11, OpenGL, OpenCL). It also includes
a compiled version of BRL-CAD which has working OpenCL support.
