Phlip, >> Have you ever worked on life-critical systems? > > Yep, using code-and-fix.
I am going to assume this answer is to be taken litterally, because although you are wont to making strange, cryptic answers, I have no idea how else to interpret this one! If you have actually developed life-critical systems using code-and-fix, why are you discouraging anyone from developing them using XP? Are you assuming you are the only one in the world to have developed life-critical systems in a way that was less good than XP would be? >> What is it about them that makes you think XP would >> not be suitable? > > Craig Larman's book does a great job of comparing XP > by-the-book to other iterative processes. Forbidding > up-front documentation, and forbidding design > documentation, helps you go faster, but leaves no > paper trail. Are you implying that a paper trail is helpful for developing safety-critical systems?
