Define close. 5 miles? 25 miles? 50 miles?
I will happily drive for up to 50 miles each way when working. When I
was working in Luton, that gave me the Lee, Stort, Regents canal,
Paddington Arm, GU from Brentford to Braunston, Leicester arm up to
Chirk, South Oxford, Thames from Oxford to Brentford (the latter being
none of BW's business, as I'm off their water). Not couting the odd
week off work when I would venture much further afield. I think that
counts as a reasonable area to cruise over.
