I don't have an angle grinder, but I'm hoping I can reach the bottom with disks and wire brush on my drill. I thought I'd probably use Hammarite on the base as that copes with non-flaky rust quite well (probably geting cancer in the process with all that toluene in a confined space), and the usual oxide/undercoat/gloss up the sides (which are much less of a problem). I will put something for the cylinders to rest on as I'm sure that has been part of the problem. The fall back is to leave it to the market ie pay someone else to do it as it does seem both difficult, uncomfortable and a bit too roughty-toughty for me. Anyone else have any other experiences? -- Nigel Stanley
