This morning the sun was shining unlike yesterday, We set of at 9.15 AM
and made our way down to Ramsey, winding was a bit tight in the town but
at 57ft I managed to motor round. It looks as if the landing stage has
been repaired but we couldn't stop there as a boat was already moored
there doing a repaint. Once winded we headed back up High Load and
turned right on the River Nene (Old course) trough Ashline lock which
was exactly on the level so no paddles to operate and then went as far
as we could down Great Raveley Drain, winded and then off down New Dyke
looking for a mooring to walk to the pub at Holme. We reached the end of
the arm quite close to the railway but were unable to find any easy
moorings or path to the pub. By now we were only about 12 Kilometers as
the crow flays from where we joined the Middle Level at Stanground Lock at
1130 yesterday. We winded at the end and then made our way back to where
we moored for the night at 5pm by Ramsey St. Marys.

Thank you for your excellent trip reports Brian .... we look forward to reading
them
