We left our mooring in the middle of nowhere at 8-30 am and headed off
to Ashline Lock which now had a differential of about an inch. Then it
was straight on to the 40 foot level,> We could only go this way thanks
to the Peterborough Branch of IWA organising the raising of Ramsey Hollow
Bridge from 1.7m to about 2.2m, we need 1.75 m with everything off the
roof. We then turned left up the 16 foot level. As we went under Stonea
railway bridge we did a couple of snaps to show we have been that way
round. At the end of navigation of the 16 foot level we turned left
again, along thePopham's Eau to the Twenty Foot River where we turned
right to Marmont Priory Lock which we had to book our passage yesterday.
Once through the lock we did another couple of miles to Upwell where we
have moored in the town for the night. We have to be at Salter's Lode at
1300hrs tomorrow to lock out onto the River Ouse.
