I do believe you are spot on (yes, definitely on the Llangollen and not 
the Macc - even though that thread has now grown a life of its own :-) 
). Oh yes, I distinctly remember the stone floor and the total lack of 
'modern' furnishings. Unfortunately the night we were there we were the 
only customers so the atmosphere was a bit lacking but the beer was very 
good. Does the place still exist?
