When I find a picture I will post it, finding what I wrote 25 years ago is a
bit more difficult but I have a friend living in the village who will no doubt
have more info will do a bit of digging .
Incidentaly the "Miners Arms" at Aldlington also on the Macclesfied canal,
bridge 18,was of the same type, ale in a jug etc. but was first modernised in
the mid 60s and then in the 80s you have to look very hard to find the old
building in the new one.CKP

Would you have a copy of this Chris? I went to the pub a few times - it was
extraordinary place. Wasn't Esme something big in the music hall at one
time. I'd love to read your obit.

Has anyone got any pictures of the place as it used to be?

Steve
