Yep, this is the technique that I have always understood applies to this list and have always tried to follow (highlighting where you have snipped for clarity). The only exception being the occasional reply to an extremely long posting where the reply points should be interspersed into the reply (still snipping enough of each paragraph to reduce the repetition).
